JIM BAILEY, internationally acclaimed and operatically trained singer/character actor/comedian, has been spellbinding audiences for many years in the world's concert halls and venues including New York's Carnegie Hall (9 times), London's Palladium (20 times), Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles and main showrooms in the top casinos in Las Vegas and Atlantic City. Mr. Bailey has brought the art of character acting to heights never seen previously or since. His acting skills combined with the mastering of voice, make-up and costumes keep him in a class all by himself. Between his concert "performances, Jim has appeared in guest starring character roles (many of which were created especially for him) on nearly eighty television programs and motion pictures. These include "Here's Lucy" (playing opposite Lucile Ball), "Night Court," "Vegas," "The John Larroquette Show," "The Golden Girls," "Cagney and Lacy," "Switch," "Carol Burnett," "The Streets of San Francisco" and movies including Woody Alien's "Zelig," "Vultures in Paradise" playing eight characters of,varying ages and race. "Blind Rage and "The Surrogate." Jim Bailey's artistry is so special that he was asked by popular demand to appear on "The Tonight Show" (14 times), "The Joan Rivers Show," "The Merv Griffin Show," "Ed Sullivan," "Mike Douglas" as well as "Arsenio Hall," "The Today Show," "Good Morning America" and Howard Stern & Robin Leach to name a few. Speaking of Arsenio Hall, Jim discovered this talented comic and took him on the road for two years as his opening act. While Jim, himself, has co-starred with Liza Minnelli, Jerry Lewis, Buddy Hackett and Jackie Mason. His theatrical work includes "Nightclub Confidential," "Jeffrey," "The Boyfriend," "The Diary of Anne Frank," "Bells are Ringing" and more recently "Fragile Fire" directed by Paul Winfield. His albums and recordings include the best selling "Jim Bailey Live at Carnegie Hall" and numerous soundtracks. He has appeared on many television specials from celebrating the Olympics, and the Super Bowl, to Bob Hope specials. The People's Choice, Emmy and Tony Awards programs, not to mention his own specials.

In addition to being an accomplished singer with an Operatic background (Philadelphia Conservatory of Music), he has performed in many concerts and recordings as himself, receiving raves from the critics. Jim is also an accomplished make-up artist who spends several hours before each show recreating the visual presence of these legendary ladies. A few of the many high points in Mr. Bailey's career remain the Command Performances for the Queen of England, Prince Charles and Lady Diana in December of 1992 and four U. S. Presidents and numerous heads of state. In a special recreation of the famed Mother and Daughter Concert, in which Jim appeared as Judy Garland, alongside Liza Minnelli, she stated in the introductions that "angels gave this man a special talent..." At another special concert where Jim performed as Barbra Streisand for Barbra Streisand and her guests, the real Barbra led a standing ovation at the conclusion of the performance which was attended by other luminaries including Clint Eastwood, Warren Beatty and Annette Benning, Faye Dunaway, Carol Bumett and Neil Diamond.

Throughout his career Jim Bailey has received numerous awards and recognition for his artistry. Among them, his own People's Choice Award. He was named Las Vegas Entertainer of the Year four times, and given the International Press Association Award twice and a Variety Club award, including theatre awards and honors worldwide. He has been featured in countless magazines including Time, Newsweek, Vogue, Esquire. US and People. It should also be noted that Mr. Bailey is a tireless volunteer for charitable organizations performing for the American Cancer Society, the Heart Fund, Multiple Sclerosis, Handicapped Children and AIDS benefits throughout the world.
